CURRICULUM FEATURES

DIGITAL

Your students are digital natives, so technology plays a crucial role in keeping their interest and preparing them for 21st-century careers. With STEMscopes Math, students can play games, watch videos on career options, keep digital journals, receive feedback on work, use virtual manipulatives, and keep notes on readings. Whether your classroom uses laptop carts, 1:1 tablets, or a BYOD model, students can enjoy all of the digital features of STEMscopes Math from any device.

Every student needs a helping hand as they learn new content. Support tools– such as embedded click-and-learn dictionaries, text-to-speech functionality, highlighting annotations, and Spanish translations–help students push themselves and develop grit. Embedded click-and-learn dictionaries, text-to-speech functionality, highlighting, annotations, and Spanish translations are all available to support your pupils. What if a student can’t be in class? The interface is easy to use, and it allows students to continue learning and exploring at home with some assistance from parents. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

ASSESSMENT AND DATA

To help you gauge your students’ strengths and weaknesses, STEMscopes Math offers a variety of assessments, from argumentation-based to Decide-and-Defend to state-based evaluations. Students can learn from their mistakes with digital teacher feedback and a question re-release system.

Many STEMscopes Math activities also have a formative assessment dimension to help teachers scaffold lessons appropriately and address common student misconceptions as they learn new content.

Want to dive a little deeper into the data? STEMscopes Math comes with powerful benchmark tests based on Quantile measures. Students can use them to see how they progress over time, while parents can visualize whether their student is on track for the next grade level.

ACCESS STEMSCOPES MATH

My math teachers LOVED our free trial of STEMscopes! They’ve been telling the rest of our campus about it, and our K-2 teachers can’t wait for the possibility of having access to it when it rolls out for them as well. So many of our resources (especially the things we find online) aren’t standards aligned, so we love that you can search by specific standards on your site and find a wide range of activities, practice, videos, etc. for small group or whole group instruction. I particularly loved the real-world connection because it is good for our students to see that you don’t have to be an engineer to need math to be successful!
